With the new niftyness that is the new website, I find one thing majorly lacking. Archive trawling was so much easier when the calendar had the W on the end of each week to display the whole week's worth of comics.
Can we get that function back?

It has been promised that it will return. I think they are working on it. Patience is now the key.

Yeah, Rit has asked that we kindly refrain from throwing objects through his windows while he's working on it.

I used to love being able to keep my Sluggy in distinct chronological order by reading it in its old weekly "mode" so I could just scroll through the strips of a certain week. It required less page updating and such. Is there any plan to add this feature back to the site's new format?

Yes. Rit's working on it. Believe me, you aren't the only one who wants Weekly Mode back. There are a lot of posts to that effect here on the boards, and a lot of trouble tickets in the bug tracking site.
--tll (Besides, Weekly is much better looking than Edna Mode, don't you think?)

Finally got around to throwing Weekly Mode in. It's live on the main site - toggle button is with the VCR buttons. Right now pulls Monday's headline as the "Headline" and doesn't display popups or compendiums until Pete and I determine the best way to do those. First day of the week is Monday. Have fun.

Oh - a note. It was less painful to have a mode toggle than all sorts of Calendar hackery. Once you toggle into Weekly mode (via the super secret button that I'm not telling you where it is!) all navigation is weekly. Drop down brings up that story in weekly, calendar clicks bring up weekly, etc. It's saner that way and easier to manage.

Also, rit, the dropdown menu chapters are still broken on Safari- for both computer and iphone. All the chapter sections are broken from That which Redeems II on down, and the several above that are moved up so that the top ones are hidden. Please fix!!!

Small kvetch: if a link sends you back into the archive, and you want to read the archive in weekly mode, the Weekly button does NOT toggle you into weekly mode for THAT week. It sends you into weekly mode for the CURRENT week, and then you have to figure out the proper URL to get back to the archive you wanted to read. Fix please?

Found a bug: If you hit next in this week it brings you back to the same week. I'm currently doing a complete archive trawl (with weekly mode back I figured it was the right time) and will be glad to point out any other occurrences of this that I find. After further probing even clicking on the next week of the calendar brings you back to the same week.

An other little bug is that the tittle of the page is always " Sluggy Freelance - Comics of the week of 12/13/14" for all the weeks of all the years. I wrote "12/13/14", tough what it actually display is the date of today, never the date of the week (I suppose the intend was to display the Sunday date of each weeks). I use the latest version of Firefox, btw. Little edit, but wow: Funky Honky wrote: Found a bug: If you hit next in this week it brings you back to the same week. This is the kind of bug that really need an immediate attention. The problem might be due to the fac that there is a whole week hiatus, there.

You're probably right. I wonder if it could be fixed just by adding a placeholder day.

Well, the problem has been fixed, more or less. Thanks for addressing it. The problem that still remain is the name of the week, that keep referring to Today's date, no matter the week.

Yes, Pete says thanks for letting him know about the first issue. It was something he could correct. I think the other issue requires a code fix.
