As she asks, the doctor walks into the room. "Sounds like you're both up. Good. I'm the doctor around here, ma'am; so if you'll stay put for a minute, I need to do a quick check." Some scanning, poking, and listening ensues; with Kilmeyer looking resigned to it all. Afterwards: "Not bad. I'd stay off my feet for a day or two if I were you, but it looks like you'll be fine. Bathroom's through there" And off she goes.

The doctor then glances over at Les: "Where you stay's up to you; I can find a cot around here, or there's a hotel up by the bridge. I think that psych type who healed her's staying up there, in case you want to go say thanks."

Meanwhile, up in the hotel, things are currently as quiet as a piano bar is ever likely to be. The piano player's pretty good, if rather fond of drinking songs.

"Think I'll go check out the hotel, thanks." With that, Les will let the doctor leave. He'll wait for Kilmeyer to get out of the bathroom and make sure nobody is close enough to listen in. Not that he plans on saying anything particularly worthy of eavesdropping on, but still.

"There's a hotel round here. I'll go out, see the town, that sort of thing. I'll see if there is anyway to get you home sooner, but I still have a job to do. You'll be fine here, Ma'am?"

"I suppose so. Go on, have one for me. Just keep your head."

When he goes, Les has no problem finding the end of the bridge; and though he spots a patrol no one bothers him en route. Though it turns out there are two 'hotels' there, only one seems to have a dog boy...or whatever that is, since it looks more like a wolf...sitting inside.

Though the squid seems to be under the impression he's going out for fun Les doesn't correct her. Not worth arguing the finer points of information gathering in social settings.

He arrives at the hotel and does in fact spot the dog...wolf...cyborg, whatever with another cyborg and the woman that pulled him from the water. He asks the bartender what they had and gets another round for them.

oog: sweet jeebus, forgot about this...

ig: "Ya, thanks. Guess I owe you one. And you for helping her out." he then says to the wolf cyber knight. "She's doing fine."

"I don't suppose anyone saw or heard anything about what took us out?"

"A talking bat mentioned a mage killer. I used a deal of my power rescuing you, and so left so as not to face the monster in a weakened state."

The bartender looks over from washing out a mug and raises an eyebrow. "A talking bat mentioned a mage killer? Looks like I haven't heard it all yet. If you'll tell me that story, your next drink's on the house."

"I was taking the club jetski out for a spin, when suddenly I heard, well, more felt - you know how loud those jetskis are - an explosion. I saw this johnny here holding for dear life to a floating pack, so I took him out of the water and got him to a little fishing boat. Then this talking bat came at me, and at first I freaked, but he seemed rather a nice little fellow, and warned me that this other boat that was starting to come to all the ruckus had a mage-killer aboard. I don't like them and I was feeling a bit drained, so I didn't stick around.

Starting to wish I had, all the excitement seems to be over."

"Huh. Psi-stalker, I'm guessing?" He glances around at the rest of the bar, then shrugs. "All right, let me know when you're ready for the next round."

"If a Psi-stalker was aboard...well, the explosion itself is enough for anyone to want to check things out. But maybe he got a feel for something there."

The barkeep shrugs, and provides another round to whomever wants one. Alejandra isn't obliged to pay for hers, of course.

Things being otherwise quiet, anyone without specific plans will be drifting off to whatever they've got lined up for a bed. Or they'll line something up, then drift off to it.

Anyone with specific plans beyond 'sleep'?

Acorn's plans are all for what to do after he wakes up. He's currently having a very confused dream which includes a werewolf called Cecil, a squirrel with a paranoid fear of mice, a suit of power armour with a flamethrower (occupant unseen), a very slow computer/hitchhiker, and a creature best described as some kind of alien beehive with one group mind.

Alejandra plans to try and find the talking bat again after she's gotten some rest.
