As of yesterday night I have finished my Associate's Degree program. Actual graduation's not for a bit yet, but I feel quite accomplished to have survived 21 months of 5 hours a night, 4 nights a week classes.

Specialized Technology. Basically the program was an IT generalist program with an emphasis on networking and network administration.

Greetings! Starting Friday 12/9, "My Life Without A Jetpack" will be updated weekly. It's a an autobiographical about my life (I'm MaGnUs, BTW), with art by Taibox. Mostly, it'll be funny (or it'll try), but not necessarily ha-ha funny. There'll even be some pretty pathetic moments where you'll laugh at me.

And to make sure it reaches the largest amount of people possible, it'll be published both in English and Spanish. You can also like it on Facebook.

Sluggy, of course, is one of my main inspirations. :) No talking bunnies, though...

Black Gate is currently publishing my short novel, "A Phoenix in Darkness," as a serial, at http://www.blackgate.com/2012/10/21/black-gate-online-fiction-a-phoenix-in-darkness-by-donald-s-crankshaw/. The publisher describes the story as follows:
Young members of a secretive Order of wizards investigate a series of strange kidnappings, and discover a sinister and ancient conspiracy.

I'm excited about this story, as Black Gate is an important market in adventure fantasy, and this is the longest story they've ever published.

I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to comment on it, positively or negatively, at the Black Gate blog.

A couple of short films I premiered at a Halloween film fest last week. One of them was voted "Freekin' Creepy" (Best Horror Award) by the audience.

I created a Kindle edition of my mother's Sherlock Holmes novel, and it has recently been published on Amazon.com. It is free for a limited time. If you have a Kindle device or app and like a good mystery novel, pick it up!

Awesome! I'd love to read it as I love Sherlock Holmes stories, but it's not showing up as free for the Kindle app on my phone even though the website says it is. I'll have to set aside a bit of money and get it.

That's weird. To test it I had ordered it during the promotional period directly from the web site on my desktop machine, and it automatically downloaded to my phone when I synced the Kindle app.
