Wel if Spec is allowed in this thread, I would actually say Leah might be starting to draw for Pete.

The way Pete phrased it didn't sound like it was something bad...

Oh dear. Sluggy Freelance, ending? I've been reading this comic for almost half my life, it feels odd to hear it's going to end one way or another.

It's endingish.. It's is ending as a daily comic.. I suspect it will be 2 or 3 times a week instead.

He called it the series finale. Sounds like the story is coming to an end.

Not sure what to think. Given the length of some of the chapters, even a year and a half seems like not long enough to wrap up all the plotlines, unless...

I look forward to more info on this in the future.

(Also, NOOOOO Sluggy is ending! Whatever will I do with all my spare time now?)

Ctrl+Alt+Del's story "Ended" as well and i think Tim's done some of his best work after he retired the Main Plotline characters.

Not only does Pete not know his left from his right, he doesn't know his 2015 from his 2016.

My fault there. One of the work-arounds I have with the current system (and there are many) is to post-date news stories because I might need that "news slot" in the future. For the first time ever a 'post-dated' news story went live! I fixed that and will try to cean up the others, thanks for the head's up, Celadon and Kesandru!

Read the archives? Complete the Niftypedia? Write fanfiction?

Aaaaaaaaahhh I only come around every few months (because I like to read in bulk) and just saw that Sluggy at least as we know it will be ending in 2017 :( :sam:

I am full of sadness!!!!

I've been reading sluggy since I was fourteen. Since 2004. Sluggy has been there for me every day through some of the best and worst times of my life. As I grew as a person I felt like Sluggy grew with me. As I got deeper and more complicated so did Sluggy and its characters. It has been such a huge part of my life, one of the few constants I had. There was always a new comic, a new chapter. Though, I understand that Sluggy is getting up there in age ( almost 20!!!!!) And that all things must come to an end. Or at least end-ish. I have hope by what Pete said it will still continue on in some way.

I don't know if Pete reads this thread or not but well done Mr.Abrams you've drawn and written a tremendous saga and all I have to say is thank you so much. Your work taught me you don't have to do a normal 9-5 job, that if you work hard enough you can do something you love and to me that's huge. I think to myself if it hadn't been for sluggy would I have even practiced writing and eventually moved it from hobby to job?

I have thoroughly enjoyed the silly stories in your arcs and cried over the dramatic and sad parts. (DOL Zoe, Zoe in 4U, etc) And loved everything in between. Thank you for this amazing web comic.

I won't believe it 'till we have the Endier End, the End to End All Ends, and the Endiest End of Them All-End.

Pete, I'm glad you found my suggestion to be helpful. You're quite welcome!
