looks like we're starting to think like pete. or pete's reading our minds. or something. :sasha:

also, riff in panel three.... looks a lot like that guest artist's version of riff. the one who did the raptops story.

Heehee. Bad Riff!

And has Pete been reading all the "They don't own the house!" comments?

Guess after reading Sluggy for a while, silly plot twists like these just get easier to sniff out. And yes I'll agree that Riff has not exactly been on the ball thinking-wise since we got back.

Get your head in the game Riff!

*Double chuckle* one for the "for sale" and one for the toothbrush. The toothbrush feels like Gwynn's antlers chiming to some lesser degree. (-;

Heh, I shall never doubt Pete again. Still getting used re-acclimatised to normal Sluggy sillyness after TWR though, I keep thinking how terrible it is of Riff to do that...I wonder if the toothbrush is going to become a major character?

For some reason, the way Torg's holding the repli-brush makes me think of Bob Dole holding a pencil. GOTTA stop watching old SNL tapes.

Come on, give Dole a break, he's lucky to have any use of his arm at all (being a war hero and all), besides, SNL is not a fountain of truth by any means.

That being said, their rendition of "Reagan the Mastermind" was the funniest bit I ever saw on the show.

'cause you know we're normally so good to our war heroes that seek public office *CoughMcCainCough* *CoughKerryCough* *CoughIkeCough* oh, excuse me.

Anyways, the toothbrush is a nice, peaceful replacement prop for Chaz, although if it starts talking I'm going to have to ask Pete to check into rehab.

I guess Pete isn't so flaky after all. I still think the 200k toothbrush is a unnecessary gag to start a "they need $" plotline, but it sure is getting funny.

Well, at least he didn't use 5 exclamation points... that's the sign of a deranged mind.

The three !'s stand for QUALITY!

Why is 5 exclamation points the sign of a deranged mind...?

Heheheh. Funny.

Where is Torgthula? They wouldn't just leave a creature like him lying around.

Just like they didn't leave him in possession of the dining room for a month? Still, I agree, I would like to know the fate of poor old Torgthulu, as some like to call him. (It's reference to Cthulu from the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, Jarne, dear.)

Any one else think Panal three sounded like a confession from Pete? Still, knowing how far a head he planned TWR, hard to imagine he missed a detail like that.

And it needs extracted teeth from an innocent to power up!

Well at least Torg didn't bring back a talking parasite. (-;

I think Riff needs to talk to Mr. Cluestick... as for this being a "The gang needs money" routine... well, I think it's more of "Riff needs money bad" gag instead. What Riff did doesn't directly affect the rest of them (until SOMETHING (dum dum DUM!!!) is cloned that would affect them all, to force them to pay). Back taxes, on the other hand, is something that would affect the entire crew.

So we get to watch Riff scrambling around trying to get money and the others shooting him down.

*sigh* It would be interesting if Zoe2 had lived... especially to see how Zoe would react to a) seeing a sweet nice (semi-lame) version of herself and b) the fact that Torg is all-but-married to her. :sasha: But as we can't have that... watching our Zoe shoot down Riff is fun enough.

BTW, the "For Sale" sign on Aylee's pod is reminiscent of Torg putting up "Lost Bunny" signs on the inside of the house, because it's too cold to do it outdoors. :kiki:

I rate this strip Four sleepy Kittens sated on milk.

All in all, this smacks of Pete reading the reactions and going, 'Doh, forgot about that.'

Or maybe it was planed, who knows.
