Hmm. Damn, I feel like I'm watching the Star Trek movies... you know, one good one, one bad one, rinse and repeat (well, actually one bad and one good, but still).

You know, there were so many ways this could be... gah. Whatever.

The Kittens have rated this two hissing Kittens. The others walked out in disgust.

Squatters' rights may not be too far off the mark - New Jersey law does provide for ownership by "adverse possession". If you occupy land openly for a period of years (I forget how many), then you become at law the owner.

I forget whether it's seven, ten, or twenty years, but it's longer than the gang's been in the house, so, so much for that.

But it's a hopeful sign, I suppose, that Torg was thisclose to telling Riff all that happened...

Ah, the boys almost pulled a serious one out on us, close call.

This just seems like the kind of storyline that you can't truely understand until it is all said and done. Something relevant might come out at any moment, but not until the silliness wears out two sub-chapters from now. Until then I'll just enjoy this for what it is.

Oh man, now I'm gonna have that song in my head all night...

Today's made me giggle, nothing more. Sometimes strips are needed to simply push the story along, and I learned patience from Elsie Hooper so I'm fine with it.

HOLY (**expletive deleted**) !!!!!!! I figured that, now that they've established that the deed was not in their posession, the house was safe.

Have to say, though, that I thought that the creepy old haunted house gig was a bit corny...but now we have to move to something completely new...and knowing Sluggy, it has to be entertaining...

YEAH Mr. Roboto...and japanese is an awesome language, by the way...

Weak Pete strip! Weak plot device without intrisic gag or presence of Plot DeviceVice elf!

Neat song. Torg DoL talk interrupted by urgency again. (-;

As for the weak plot device again, there are about 5 alternatives to it that are not as bad that spring to mind immediately without a "destroy the house" plot to cover an oversight. But it's all spec, right? Oh well I'll give you one that still can be used: the military have the right to requisition anything they want deed or no deed and the cloners might get payment for pointing out such a good and legal hassle free deal (I'll refrain from mentionning all military groups seen in Sluggy prime so far).

But nooooo we just had to use a plot device hole the size of Percy's herd and even point out that hole first!

0.7 poing out of a possible 2, or 35%!! There is exactly one Ian strip above that score (where Isp and Osp more guilty over inventing spam than Psyk and Reak feel over inventing plagues - scored 40% of 7 poings). As Uozin would say: Danger! Danger!

P.S.: My little sister thought of 5 more ways they could lose the house without destroying it, all 5 better that Pete's (so how hard could it be?). I've been encouraging her to make her own strip about it - but no fanstrip luck! She only draws Deploras.

Waha, the song was hilarious!

And finally the start (?) of a new substory. Hopefully. The strip has been 'stagnating' for a few days. Or I guess I'm just too picky. Any Sluggy is good Sluggy!

Gah, talk about frustrating.
Riff seems to have changed a lot, too.
Never expected he could be that self-important.

My roommate (evil that he be) came up with this little haiku for the occasion. (I have to make an account on these forums for him, I swear...)

Riff has gone loony
Has poor Pete lost the magic?
Where is Oasis?

and

Aylee in cocoon
Book of E-ville is in Gwynn
Pete is now insane

as well as

Homeless yet again
That old tired plot device
time to switch comics

and to finish with...

Bill has gone loopy
He is driving me insane
Where's my baseball bat?

(seeing that he made me go back and add two more haikus, so...)

I odn't think it's a plot device hole at all. I just think Pete wants them out of the house for whatever reasons. I suppose he oculd have done it another way like someone investigating the disappearance of the land lord, but that's kind of boring in my opinion.

Heh he first time I read it I thought Riff said, "No time to gab. I've got to pack." But now I realize that it's "No time to gab. I've got a lab to pack!" which is funnier.
