I believe BobtheSpirit was referring to the personality shown in this comic contradicting the personality shown in yesterday's comic. (And yes, it does).
Edit -> Still a good strip though.

Libby claps loudly.
Monica's evil but oddly cool. It's amazing how often the two coincide.

I'm not so sure. She saw one of Riff's friends, and she was being friendly. I don't think it was as ditzy as everyone was making it out to be. And I mean, look at Riff's track record thus far. None of the girlfriends we've been introduced to are stupid by any means. Hell, Sasha was almost, if not on par with Riff's level of intelligence. I don't think he goes for the ditzy types.

Given her attitude in this comic, I would say that Monica's big grin in the previous one was probably one of those "fake grin" things.
I mean, you're sitting there, your boyfriend's friend is talking about you like you aren't there. There's that forced "Ahem!" chipperness to her interjection that fits well with her behaviour in this comic.
Also, I am greatly amused by her. Wonder if something speculative will happen? Naah.

Quote: Is this the first time we hear reference to characters' sexual prowess (and lack thereof) in the comic?
I took this to mean "You're fast at getting from point A to point B in a relationship." Which makes a lot more sense. Riff doesn't strike me as the sort of guy who has premies, but he DEFINITELY strikes me as the kind of guy who gets pretty physical pretty quickly.
I honestly can't see Riff getting into a relationship for any reason OTHER than to satisfy physical needs, so I'd always just assumed he was good at getting to that point.

I fail to see what was ditzy about Monica's behavior in the previous comic, so I see no contradiction here. Smart people can be friendly, too. One need not brood all the time.
She seems both clever and playful here. Good character.

Running at the first mere mention of commitment, Riff's even smarter than I gave him credit for.
Go man, go!
