I say, that was a fairly graphic transformation there.

Yah know, I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Pete's all about the subtle details.
He'd highlighted Zoe's "tattoo" for a couple of strips now, and the little artistic detail I noticed (because, were this not a B&W strip, it would have been surrounded by a preternatural glow) was the tattoo/necklace pattern revolving about Zoe's neck during the moment of transformation.
Obviously a transitional, yet definitely nifty, strip Pete! Thank you!

I love the little detail in the final panel of Riff running for his life. And the fact he put off the running away for just long enough to show Gwynn the fatal flaw in her plan.

Take away her credit card?
Funny strip today. I love how uselessly innovative Riff can be some times.

That was nothing preternatural. That was the necklace she was wearing, exploding as her neck expanded.

The real question is how do you stop 700 lbs of pissed off camel with a human brain? If you can't guess the answer, just kwi-t while your ahead shupid.... I couldn't help myself, please don't hate me (hangs head in shame).
[While painful, and SPEC, I'll allow this because of the horrible horrible pun... but no more! -G]

Quite. The rushed pencilling made me literally LOL.
So, Gwynn destroyed some of her presumably-favourite clothes (at least it wasn't a dress, like the one during the wine-tasting party!) and a necklace. Just as Gwynn's anger was beginning to dissipate, too... Looks like Pete doesn't want them to make up any time soon.
