Tuesday notes that preventing the crazy Vice president from taking over the country doesn't always prevent the nuclear strike.

Hey guys! After reading yesterday’s reactions thread, I thought I’d pop in to remind you all that I don’t read your speculations on the forums, I restrict my reading to this particular reactions thread. I figured most people would think that the DOL, DOP, or KZK were involved in this story. By ruling those old storylines out it helps me narrow the lens of focus (which is necessary in some of my more twisting stories). I mean, how can I lead you in one direction before yanking you suddenly in a completely new direction while you’ve wandered off in three or four unintended directions? I can’t pull the rug out from under you people without you standing on the rug! WORK with me people! ;)

Thus it was spoken. And Lo, it was Nifty.
We felt a great disturbance, as a million egos cried out, and were suddenly silenced. Ow, my poor sense of omniscience and self-importance!

Wow. Most red shirts last a little longer, anyway. Helluva way for Torg and Aylee to start their holiday. :-)

Well, to be honest, Pete's right - He didn't need to read other threads to know what many were thinking; everything was already there - and he'd know, after all, he built it! Most of the 'specity-spec-spec' was kinda obvious from the get-go, so lots of us were already standing on the well-worn-rug-of-time when he started yanking.
That's fine; the rug needed to be replaced anyway - it was getting a bit... foot-worn.
Anywho, nifty strip - I particularly like how the subtleties of "Upgraded" Torg come into play. "When the going gets tough, the tough make bad jokes while still being tough". Poor normal guy, 'tho.

Pete has spoken in this thread. Do I need to kneel before him?
The comic is great as always. This and the surprise free PB&J sandwich I had for dinner are the highlights of my day.

Love the upgraded "Aw who am I kidding?" Torg.
Why am I suddenly hearing Sgt. Pepper music and Ringo Starr?

All together now (stand-ing on the rug!)
Standing on the rug (all to-gether!)
All together now.... YOICK!"

Y'know, when you look at Pete's profile and see how often he posts, only 4 so far this year, I think we should feel a little honored.
Nice comic today. The punchline was more an inward polite chuckle than an outloud gaffaw, but it's interesting to find out that there were still survivors when Torg and Aylee got to this dimension.
I doubt it's spec, but 10 bucks says that that guy's Vincent Price.
Look at the stache!

Yep indeed, and this obviousness was pointed out and discussed on the SRC threads as well.
So I guess Pete showing up here to clear it up even more really does prove that he doesn't read over there ;)
Anywho, as for an actual reaction, loved the 'to the point' story and the starry night backgrounds are brilliantly atmospheric.
