Thursday is unsure if it is here...

Nope, doesn't appear to be.

Hurray for the return of Skip.

Is it somehow related to this?

I love how people always seem to know how to pronounce the Demonic runes. Also, Skip was wise to keep that Bazooka Joe comic handy.

edit: Oops, I missed the fact on my first read that he had the comic stored electronically. That's even smarter!

Aha, that's what Skip was thinking: summoning backups! He can theoretically become anyone in his cult, as long as they're willing to read a Bazooka Joe comic outlou-okay actually that's still a crappy plan.

Maybe it's been mentioned, but one of the demons looks like octo-buddy. Confusion/hilarity will follow if kiki ever meets him.

For a moment I thought the ref link would point to the _actual_ bazooka joe comic... :pun:
Never mind that.

Well, that was both completely obvious and unexpected. Well played, Pete.

I'm glad you have a plan for getting some rest. Do what you must!

Skippy's lucky his Bazooka-backup guy survived the attack by the Chilus contingent.

But that was very smart of him to include a backup in his party. I'm sure he knows how valuable that Bazooka comic is to him, and he probably has backups all over the place.

I wonder why Skippy needs a fortuitously-misprinted bubble-gum comic to trick a human into saying the spell of possession, while Chilus can just "hop to a meatling" as it runs by? (http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/050814, panel 13) Especially considering Skippy appears to be the stronger / more mature of the two -- he chewed Chilus out for bringing the Stormbreaker into things, and Chilus seems preoccupied with trivialities like her "television career" ... But Chilus / Meander certainly seem to have the upper hand now.

Well, he is. He could have taken on Skip himself instead of volunteering someone else as replacement meatling.
