Wednesday wants to have a vicarious chat. Its memory is infallible when recalling precise details. Ask it anything.

Want to know about the Prussian time-dimension incursion of 1992? It knows all. Even the things you didn't know anything about never to happen in the past.

How about the Porpoise Insurrection of 1777? Bet you didn't know that the Agnostic Space Pope's rocket boots came in very handy that day. No, you did not!

BRING IT!!!

Aaaand Riff's also part god. Fun. Machus also sounds like machine in Latin- though up to this point the God of Justice hasn't shown himself to be particularly inventive. Still trying to get my head around the rest of this. Riff's Dad just became a heck of a lot scarier, if that's possible- and at this point find him a far more disturbing villain than the God of Justice in the past stuff- probably because, though only met once he's so long alluded too and Pete built up to him so much, and made him seem as cool as Torg always built him up to be.

In honesty I've had trouble getting emotionally connected to most of the Mokhudun characters, gods included- despite all the huge, important revelations, it just felt so disconnected from the personalities we've come to know and love (save the presence of Bun Bun). But now that a second connection has been made with Riff's line, things are starting to get a bit more personal/emotionally engaging for me.

Funny that you should say so. The Swedish word for sewing machine is symaskin, with the "sk" pronounced like a harsh "ch" sound. Every time I see "Symachus" in the comic I think "sewing machine".

Torg, with what you have seen and done, why is this so surprising to you?

To me, Torg's response doesn't feel right.

dangit Pete, jaw surgery was pretty unpleasant the first time I had it... I don't want to go through that again...

Well, that explains the soul collecting the Bug was encouraging in the past.

Not only that, but when did Torg even hear the name "Symachus"? That's all been in the Mohkadun plotline, which Torg hasn't been part of.

Yep.

And I think by now most of us were expecting Riff to be related to Symachus.

Still doesn't make WW's "bring the end" strategy any more sensible.

I figured that came up with Gwynnphaniana.

I think the real horror here is that in order for all this to have happened, Symachus had to have had children at some point.

if Lorna's the one who was of Symachus's line and had a soul fragment, why's he claiming that he and Riff are of Symachus's line? Is he claiming inbreeding?

Yay! Torg spec'ed my spec for me intelligibly. And it was wrong. Huh. I don't think anyone spec'ed a patrilineal inheritance angle... that all went the Dr. Lorna route, IIRC.

Now the compass makes so much more sense. I'm on the edge of my seat...

Alright, who won that spec? I know someone must have predicted this, hell we specced every combination of this under the sun :P

Yeah I second the opinion that Torg doesn't necessarily know who Symachus is.
