What are you doing Monday?

What do you mean?

That's what I'm wondering about.

What? I don't understand what your question is.

Why are you being so daft about telling me what you're doing?

What is your point?

I don't have a point about what I'm saying. It is just a simple question to you, from me, asking about what you're doing.

Speak up, I can't hear what you're saying with the all the racket this chainsaw makes.

What the...

What a beauty isn't she?

Now I'm not sure I want to know what is going on... Wait, what are you doing with that horse?

What about the horse? It's very sickly, what it is.

I hope you're not planning on using what you are carving or the saw on the animal.

What? You're sick to think I would want to do that to a living horse.

What the hell is going on?!?

I have to wait for the horse to die naturally before I can do what I want.

I...ah...what?!?

That's what this stick I carved is for.

WTF!?!

Ohh, clever. If he kills her, she goes back to her time. But Gwynn does not come back.

Riff would save the world and billions of lives, for the price of one life.

But let's hear what Bun-bun has to say.

Um, there's not much left of Mohkadun anymore, is there? Unless it's now the most important city for deadels...

Who's the idiot that made that cage? The bars are way too far apart. Bun-Bun could easily slip through them.

Well, all of the deadels are just dead bodies now. They ceased being animated when KZK was locked away. Though...the last thing we saw was Gwynn with glowing eyes and she said "Release" So who knows what is going to happen in Mohkadun now.

Of course, we don't know when that syncs up with the current timeline.

Wait. Is Siphy asking Riff to kill her? Or is she just now realizing that if Riff kills her, her plan is ruined? My first thought was the latter... but if that's the case, then Siphy really needs to learn to keep her realizations to herself...

Riff is actually discussing his relationships with a woman until she has to tell him to shut up? Guess the world really is ending. Good to see Bun-Bun.

Woah, I didn't read that. I read Siphy saying something else. I worry that posting it will subject me to the spec hammer, though. Good thing it's Monday!

Oh man, Siphy's got some really terrible news waiting for her. I love dramatic irony.

Technically, even as a smoking heap and a decimated population, it's still the biggest and most important city in the world. :P
Riff is about to be so glad Bun Bun is awake. But! Has bun bun already figured out something the gang hasn't? He's the most strategically adept.

Funny, Siphy didn't seem to be struggling when the smooching started last week...

She might not be that thrilled once she gets back to Mohkadun. Not only is the place torn up and full of ex-deadels, Farahn is gone. I doubt she'd still be queen if he's not king.

Yeah, the gag really doesn't work for anyone who bothers to look at the previous cockadoodie strip and note Siphy wrapping her arms around Riff.

Kind of a lame bait-and-switch. Compare to here: here and here and here.

Siphy doesn't seem surprised at all that Riff is kissing her on Friday, which led me to believe that she initiated it since it's completely out of character for him to be the first to make a romantic overture. Very confusing, and a waste of a good potential subplot IMO.

There is no pleasing some people.

Clearly Siphy wanted to kiss him. But then changed her mind and placed all the blame on Riff. Not unusual female behavior. That Pete makes that obvious from her body language in the earlier strip, but leaves it unsaid and for astute and adult readers to figure out on their own, is a nice touch. But I suppose it should live up to some sort of standards set by master commentators.

This strip actually makes more sense if you swap every instance of "kiss" and "kill" in the dialog.

(well okay it doesn't make any less sense)
