Thursday wonders if Symachus will use a gavel while groveling in the gravel while Kronus growls.

So Riff is blind? Or just has bad eyes?

Great! He finally got his comeuppance!

Just saying that if he is the mummy I called it long ago. Wish I had bookmarked that.

He should get some shades to cover up his not-eyes.

This reminds me of that bit in The Mummy where the mummy rips that guy's eyes out. Both are awesome.

Ahhhhh! So there's the likely connection between Riff and Symachus

Veeeeery interesting indeed

We don't really know. We know that something's wrong with his eyes: http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/20110914

The mummy has eyes, and appears to be taller, and his head is the wrong shape. Though with Pete, you never know.

So is anyone else racking their brains to come up with a character that fits the new description?

Yeah. My first thought was the owner in Chaz's story, but the alignment isn't quite right.

But I still don't get the "you and all your lineage". Don't Riff and Wilcott have some semblance of vision? It would be pretty retconnish if we found out they'd been using Braille terminals, etc. for all this time.

And seriously, how does Krohnus think Symachus is going to have descendants after that transformation?

Riff frequently checks his notes, which he keeps in a perfectly normal notebook that other people can read. So the blindness isn't strictly literal.

Curses often wax and wane in strength in descendants.

The more this king of the gods talks, the more I want to hit him. The Krig was pretty much the only one who wasn't messed up. And Brehda, I suppose, but she's gone.

Thought: this sets up Symachus (who seemed to have some independent knowledge of magic, and therefore power) well for playing Osiris to his Horus descendants.

I think people forget that it has been something like five to six thousand years from Mohkadun to the present. Who's to say a god-curse wouldn't get diluted over time.

I was just making a joke. I didn't think I was actually calling what was about to happen. Image
