Oh, Gwynn. I want to give you a hug right now. Um, could you move a few thousand miles away from the world-ending demon first?
I love talented authors. With a single page, the cranky dark heroine can become the most important person in the comic. And it doesn't matter if it's just for that one page or if it lasts longer. The empathy they can hit us with is so powerful. Beautiful job today, Pete!

Nice page.
The second to last panel seems to have some typos, and is hard to understand. What does "in that books" mean?

Not what I was expecting, but I love it.
Also... "And then... Gwynn turned around."

I don't generally find Gwynn to be all that hugable a character, but I think I'd offer her one now. Powerfully done, Pete.

First time I've posted in months, and I see that SW already said all of what I was thinking, and better. I must be up late.

All I have to say is: "Torg's sneaker. In the background of the last panel. There's a man who really knows where his shoes are."

I've always had an issue with Gwynn's stubbornness tending to reach critical stupidity levels. From seating potential boyfriends on the interstate to almost releasing the Destroyer several times... I guess it was inevitable that the end of the world would be her fault.

Welcome home, Gwynn. Now quit feeling sorry for yourself and help your friends, who did everything in their power to bring you back, fight K'Z'K one more time.

Come on Gwynn, pull it together and ditch the despair. You can turn this thing around. If Torg was right about Riff and Zoƫ, anything is possible!

Very nice work Pete. I really like the Gwynn faces that improve in focus at roughly panels 2, 3, and ... 4.2.0? I kinda wish there was just a bit more contrast in them. Now here's the place where I have to declare my dodge on Zill, because I'm going to bob & weave ever so slightly around spec. Gwynn's conclusion that she was blameless, but stupid, is an impression from seeing the Bug's master plan. My interpretation is a shade different. The Bug engineered Kron's death by replacing Siphianianianianananana with Gwynn. Siphylus would only have toyed with Kron to pique Farahn, but Gwynn's insertion changed that radically. Gwynn could only do what she would normally have done - or she could have chosen not to act. For example, choosing not to sneak away to see Kron. Gwynn didn't want to form any sort of relationship with Farahn, a path that isn't entirely well thought out since Farahn would be the ultimate protection in a strange and faraway land. Not to mention rich. There were always options, but perhaps Gwynn's metaphorical blindness to her surroundings is more important. Also, I have totally been holding out hope for her and CROTCH!!!! My speculation is a CROTCH!!!

Made her write and send a scroll...is this some new element, something we don't know much about yet? I did read the scroll reference and I had completely forgotten about it.
