Where did you get that the queens taught themselves magic? I assumed that the "we took our secret to the grave" comment indicated that they were deadles controlled by kozaku, and got their power from him.

That's not what that expression means. Taking a secret to the grave means you never tell anyone until and including the day you die. So the magic-wielding queens knew magic in life, but never revealed it to anyone, including the other queens. Besides, if the queens had gotten their magic from K'Z'K in death, all of them would have had it.

You win all the things.

Coincidentally, yesterday I made a poop joke on FB that was awarded this award.

Then again, poop makes sense; after all, it does come from The End.

Right, or else it would be "we got our secret from the grave".

Does this mean that Pete is a fan of Norwegian author Jo Nesbo?
(My apologies that "o" replaces Norwegian letters that I cannot recreate here.)

There is a Zoroastrian ... excerpt? saying?... The dead rise up, but are commingled with the soil, and indeterminate from each other. They wail that they are no longer distinct and unique, but blended each into the other. And the Lord Zoroaster declares that He knows each soul from the others.

It's not especially pertinent, just mildly interesting that some religion was cognizant of the unavoidable commingling of the dead.

Eh? Shouldn't that be Ahura-Mazda? I mean... Zoroaster was closer to Buddha than to Jesus, I thought.

[Lady Blanc stands and takes a bow.]

Thanks all for the kind comments. I have my moments. Not many, but I DO have them. :torg:
