Wonder if she does deep knee bends. mind = blown! (how embarrassing that I didn't connect those dots without your reaction) Um.....doesn't that qualify as spec? Really? I was just wondering about her exercise regime, honest! ;) Yeah...ok BAD keyboard! *SMACK* (But it really was a first reaction)

It is in a warehouse where Pete has covered the walls with every detail from the story and strings connecting all of them together.

"In fact the ruse itself with Chilus' ambition ruined this day". Man that sentence came out of a meat grinder.
Ok I'll admit to getting pretty confused now. But Chilus thinks the leader is a guy, so she's never spoken with the top? Seems odd if she's running the show here. And it's still not clear to me what the real end goal is for this group.

I have three words:
What the what?!?
Seriously, though, how is it that now, as the storylines seem to be coming together, Pete is *still* introducing more mysteries? I think we're all going to be confused for a while.

He's still recovering from Lacey's paralyzing sting. Celadon wrote: But Chilus thinks the leader is a guy, so she's never spoken with the top? Seems odd if she's running the show here. I'm confused. http://sluggy.info/search/?s=tombsy says there have only been two previous references to Tombsy, starting when Wil got dropped onto the roof from the chopper. But I thought we'd encountered Tombsy before? I dunno, maybe I'm thinking of Helen's friend Snug from The Incredibles...

I just noticed that what I thought were Wilcott's eyebrows are actually attached to his glasses. (Most visible in panel 5) They still seem to move with changes in his facial expression, though. :)

Yeah, so Chilus is way more in the dark that we (or she) realized -- and the whole Xanatos marketing strategy is partially unraveled. I wonder if we'll get any more fate-spider information about the tangle that Gwynn'Z'Gwynn made (and Googol enhanced) and the threads that run through all this. I suppose it doesn't matter how the explanation comes up, but given that Pete built that whole expository device, it seems like we'd visit again soon.

I have no idea what is going on here, but I feel as though Pete believes that I should.

The one that feeds on the anguish, shock, surprise, and disgruntlement that occurs when we're hit with something we didn't expect...something we should have expected in hindsight. He very much does want you to be exactly where you are now. But he's rather benevolent for a demon, so we don't mind.
