The American Terror News -AN STILL UP TO SOMETHING
No One Reads The Newspaper Gazette EARTHQUAKE SMASHES EGGISTAN
Shoe News CROCS ARE UGLY
It looks like there is more than just the main headlines. The smaller headlines appear to have details as well. The bottom one says something about Prada...
I'm begging you Pete. Can we see better views of the newspapers? Pretty pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaasssssseeee?

Riff is definitely a tough guy. If Zoe wasn't the storm breaker, and the choice was Torg's and not riff's... What would happen then?
Btw, I just LOVED the old reference XD

Panel ten should be "released", not "release". I think.

Never endanger the world, even to save his friends? I wonder if Riff is thinking about his Dimension of Rain counterpart here..

Riff's acting pretty high and mighty for someone who just referenced the fact that he gambled the fate of the world for some beer in the past.

That was a loooong time ago. Riff was an entirely different person then, as was Torg. Their characters have grown a lot.
So at least we have some explanation for why Wilcott would do such a heinous thing... but if Wilcott had as much integrity as his son, he wouldn't have done it anyway.
Though Gwynn brings up a good point. What if you were pretty certain that if YOU didn't free the Destroyer, someone else WOULD? (But I'm not sure how Wlicott would have been convinced of that. Maybe the scroll was so convincing that he believed the Destroyer would be released whether he did it or not.)

Huh, this kinda reminds me of the Nick Cage movie Knowing. Only here it makes sense. And has a payoff. And isn't actively sabotaging itself. And explains how the messenger knew the future. And lets the receiver actually do something. And is written in a way that the messenger could actually understand what is going on. And oh my god, I had forgotten how much Knowing sucked.
Good thing Poopy Pants took Gwynn rather than Torg or Riff. Otherwise instead of history and newspaper articles PP would have only had dates for the release of Diablo 2 and its expansions.
