Friday finds that this casket is quite comfy. Being dead is very relaxing. ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. [#98 +0 *261]

What-the-whaaat??
Is anybody else as confused as I am?
Pete says this is the big wrapup to the Mohkadun story, and I'm lost. The Destroyer is recaptured but the tangle now seems to be a bigger problem. Googol wants the Tempest hat but wasn't he just talking to it yesterday?? Sluggy Freelance was supposed to be a rallying cry and I don't understand how that fits in at all. And, and, and ...

All that setup just for that line.
I wonder if this was the Bug's plan all along?

Think of the Mohkadun chapter as the prelude to the entire rest of the strip. Pete's basically spent the last year showing us all just what the "dominoes" actually were (well, most of them, at least - I suspect there's still a few things that need to be clarified) and from this point on it'll be mostly about knocking them all down.

As near as I can figure, someone is going to make ol' poopypants take a dirt nap, and seriously mess up reality.

Looks like Pete is letting us know that poopypants isn't the big bad.
Things are going to get complicated... more so than usual.

Then it would appear so. Though to me, that really doesn't feel like something Poopy would want. Now if there were somebody else who is actively trying to destroy the Destroyer and who may not understand the true consequences if he is removed completely...

The questions to ask yourself:
Who's behind the great tangle? Tempest? Poopypants? Lots of people have fiddled with it. Is someone else pulling the strings?
Could it be....The Time Father, and/or other miscellaneous missing Gods? The cults? Where's Hereti-Corp and Oasis been?
Is someone actively trying to destroy everything? Or is it an oopsie brought on by too much stuff happening?
Does Poopypants want to destroy EEEEVERYTHING, self-included? Or does like continually smashing everything up forever, leaving himself intact?
Did Riff have his nuts crushed for science, after he noticed that Gwynn was in her underwear?
These questions and more, all speculated somewhere else! (spoiler: His nuts DEFINITELY got crushed for science.)

Well that does it, every god is a total jerk! Khronus was seriously the most incompetent Zeus ever. And if you've ever read those Greek myths, that's saying something! garyfritz wrote: What-the-whaaat?? Is anybody else as confused as I am? Let me see if I can help without getting speccy... garyfritz wrote: Pete says this is the big wrapup to the Mohkadun story, and I'm lost. We're finally being shown what the endgame will be. garyfritz wrote: Googol wants the Tempest hat but wasn't he just talking to it yesterday?? He was, and apparently our old friend Carl the ex-ex-Fate Spider took Googol's distraction as an opportunity to hide it somewhere. Why? Carl made some accusations, but elaborating any further would be spec! garyfritz wrote: Sluggy Freelance was supposed to be a rallying cry and I don't understand how that fits in at all. Good! Neither does anyone else! So get speccing, minion!! ONWARD!

Ahhh, so the end game is revealed.
And interestingly, Torg's question to Chaz a long time ago gets answered.

I do admire the imagination and writing that got us here, Pete.
Carl wearing a stack of hats was amusing
