Monday has a colored strip for you... Well, sort of... It is colored, but it's the one you have previously seen last week. Just that it's not the darkened version, instead it's shows off the coloring of the pre-darkened version. I know most won't care about this one since it's not the final version, but I know some people would be interested in the little details that disappeared in the final version. Very Bright Moonlight version of 2014-08-27Now for something that is more interesting... Unless something catastrophic happens, there will be another (new) colored strip for you tomorrow. I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprise since I'm certain that the NSA would approve. Because of the [redacted by order of the NSA]. ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. The NSA will know if you don't. [#96 -1 *374]

So. We appear to be somewhere in Germany, there are others who can use magic, and the time period is indeterminite. Does anyone recognise the badges those two are wearing?

What a place for Gwynn to have to learn SELF CONTROL.

Ok, so I have no clue what is going on, but in a good way. Very opera-ish.
So who is at fault here, her for losing control, or him for asking "are you sure you are not angry"?
I like how his boots sparkle Super Mario style. Or maybe its dust, whatever.
In the third panel I know the snap is her neck but I take it more in the figurative sense. You figuratively hear her snap and go nuts.

She looks a little Crabtree-ish to me.

Hmm? Sub-majored? This is a serious turn in the magic department. I think the last time we saw a hint of organized magic among humans was the Wajan-Kulit shadow cult, and it seemed only the leader could actually use magic.
Could that be a Rosicrucian symbol? The Rosicrucians had lots of symbols.
Or are they demons? There must be serious dark magic at work for humans to be cursed with such transformations.
Or ... we have seen Aylee-like aliens in another dimension that were human-like.... Maybe not just in that dimension.
Regardless, shouldn't the jackets be buttoned in the other direction?

Considering how random this chapter has been so far, I can't even be bothered to "What?" this latest bit of randomness. Officially do not care anymore.

Oh, come on Zylon. It looks interesting to me. I'm sure all will be revealed.

My mind went immediately to Shadow Cult on Friday. I'm curious what they've stumbled into, and if it was just a change in locale.
Also, if Gwynn casts a spell and doesn't think it through, who controls the intent? Feels a bit quick to be right back to the Bug, but that woman's looking awfully demonic/deadel-y.

Probably, but in one of those "we will now explain how the story you just slogged through actually made sense and was tremendously clever" info-dumps that Pete is so fond of. Unsurprisingly, my favorite Sluggy arcs tend to be the ones that DON'T end with those.

Dodger77 wrote: What about Torg Potter? That would be fantastically awesome and horrible if it were tied back into the world of Torg Potter, lol. Maybe just a hat tip at one point saying one of the users went to school there (which Torg never hears). But other than that, should remain completely irrelevant to their current associations.
