Saturday is wondering why everyone is suffering a mass psychosis. Everybody keeps saying it's the 9th of December, when it is clearly the 13th... ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. [#106 +2 *179]

I'm dead Jim. Why must all the good beards die? Well at least the rat won't go hungry for a while.

That's almost the perfect Sluggy death scene: attempts at dignity undone at every turn.

Wait, clever Star Trek reference aside, who's Jim?

"Nothing dead here leaves."
Wrong building and story, but still relevant.

She's dead and says she's alive. Bill is alive, and she says he's dead.
Too confused to spec...

I'm a little disturbed that he's willing to commit suicide so easily, considering that as long as he's alive there remains the possibility that something might happen that he can turn to his advantage. I mean, he's still sufficiently hydrated that he can talk! Isn't that a little early?
Still, I guess if his research has proven the existence of an afterlife to his satisfaction...

I don't know, I can see his reasoning. He's locked in a vault, and the only person who knows the combination is dead. And uncooperative. Bill has been there for long enough to grow a full beard. At least four days. He's held out by spending as much time as he can making his report, but he's run out of tasks and time. He's not going to last more than another day or two, tops, and those hours will become steadily more unpleasant. So unless Jim Orson bursts in with an assault team carrying blowtorches right away, Bill will be too damaged to live long anyway. Might as well make it clean. Too bad it wasn't. LB

His wavy speech bubbles seem to indicate that he's a ghost rather than a zombie. Still don't know why he wouldn't be able to move, though.
