Thursday wishes to remind everyone that just because someone has a different opinion from yours about what is occurring in the strip, your first response shouldn't be wanting to gouge their eyes out with a rusty spork. Nowadays that may be considered perfectly normal while talking politics. But this is not the forum for politics, this is just for reactions to the strips.

Let's keep the bloodshed contained to the strips like it's supposed to be.

Push comes to shove, Code Boom is still accepted without question.

Riff has trained her well. But then, I'd imagine he's quite good at training companions to respond to evacuation code words. Those who don't listen don't survive.

Okay, moment of truth time. Is Torg's dream true and is Gwynn 'dead in the head' or is it just Marco?

Poor Marco. He may have been dead from the moment we saw him, but he seemed nice.

Hopefully Marco is too shocked to do anything to stop Gwynn before she gets to the doorway. Though considering the distance she has to run, he probably wouldn't have time even if he was expecting it.

Next we see if Gwynn can pass the doorway... I would vote yes, but we'll see.

If the twist is going to happen, this is the time and place for it.

.....Stay good Pete! :kiki:

Yes, a couple of different things could happen here. I'm sensing a very suspenseful Friday comic coming up.

I wasn't clear on what was happening in the last panel. Mostly because I thought the blood spatter on the wall was more prominent. And it would most likely have been directly behind Marco. So I had to go check out

to be sure. Well, the blood spatter from that comic, and the wall structure tell me that Gwynn is going towards Torg.

So, unfortunately, my reaction is that it wasn't obvious what Gwynn's choice was.

It is endearing that, despite their arguments, if Torg tells her to trust him and run to him she leaves her new beau without question. That is just how it should be after all they have gone through, fighting gods and monsters and whatnot.

A reference to 2007! Wow, so far away. And I loved that chapter, it was a nice trip. Aylee and Torg in the dimension where they got inflatable hoverbikes. There may have been something about aliens destroying the world or something like that, but - hoverbikes!

Those hoverbikes sure have survived a long time. Even being used this year. I wonder if Torg is carrying one right now?

Was it not established that the house as a whole is warded except for the window where Torg destroyed the runes? Or did the kiddies just ward the windows and not the door?

The wards on the windows could be taken down just by smudging them; it was obviously a rush job.

And I'll join in the chorus saying I hope Gwynn's able to pass through the door. Fingers crossed!

Well, only given Gwynn's character it would not have been obvious...but the construction of the panel made her choice completely clear.
The general rule: if someone runs from left to right (following the reading direction of western cultures), this person runs towards something. If someone runs from right to left (against the reading direction) this person runs from something.
Also, the whole time we had the same angle of view; in fact we never saw the opposite wall of this corridor. The vault was always to the right, the stairs back up to the left. To suddenly change this in the last panel would have been really bad craftsmanship.
And Pete's craftsmanship is really good :)

Well if it doesn't this invocation of Code Boom will blow up in Torgs face.
If it does, it will blow up twice as hard.

If she can pass the ward there will be trouble and if she can't it will be double.

The hoverbikes were shot down by border guards last time we saw them. :(

A little duct tape and I'm sure they'll be good as new. We have seen other Schlock Inflati-tech extensively repaired using that method.
