You know, I'm never gonna catch up with Pete. Even when it's thrown right in my face.
Nicely done, suh. Wonder what the artifact is? Something from Mohkadun?

Well Gwynn can fly (unless she lost/is traumatized by that power after getting sniped) and carry people while flying so she can make it to the village. And if by chance there is no one there that speaks English/ they don't believe in Captain Botanical she can just pretend to be an evil witch and scare everyone off.
Great to see Gwynn be the heroine we know she can be.

It would appear that Bill was not all that great at remembering a seven digit code, so he took the easy route. Which is so stupid probably nobody would guess. You would expect an idiot to put on that on their luggage, not a vault door.

I figured there had been a clue to the combination somewhere, but I never would have come up with that. Seconded. I love moments like that in stories, when the answer that was there all along is suddenly revealed. Um... an extra digit seems to have appeared on the combination lock since it was first introduced here (panel 3). Magic! (ETA: Actually, even in panel 2 of today's strip, the lock only has six digits. While in today's panel 8, the lock has seven digits but only six finger-wheels. Even more magic!)

So that's what secure passwords looked like in a pre-computer hacker world.
And if the next strip we see opens with anything other than a look at what's in the vault, I may scream at someone.

Looks like Gwynn is wearing the Hero Pants this time around.
Figuratively speaking, of course.

Second all the head asplode that has been expressed here.
And yeah, I want to see inside that vault!
Here's hoping the village is full of farmers and it's harvest time.

My guess was that Gwynn would would find the combination or open the lock magically. But no, Torg did it all by himself. Go Torg!

Huh, I was expecting Gwynn to use the special, all purpose barrier removal, Magical Energy Blasts.
But in retrospect, that probably would have destroyed the contents as well.

What does he mean, "To Be Continued"?? What could possibly be happening that might interrupt the comic - oh wait
