It would appear that Bill was not all that great at remembering a seven digit code, so he took the easy route. Which is so stupid probably nobody would guess. You would expect an idiot to put on that on their luggage, not a vault door.

I came here to make that joke and you ruined it.

Gwynn's getting sick of people? Freudian Slip or typo?

My guess was that Gwynn would would find the combination or open the lock magically. But no, Torg did it all by himself. Go Torg!

That was my reaction as well. When he wants, Torg is quite clever.

We've already seen inside the vault, multiple times, in both the past and the present.

And I gotta side with Gwynn on the "Captain Botanical" thing. Ugh.

Well, well, well...is that a note of selflessness I see in Gwynn?

Pretty sure that's just her trailing off, meaning she's sick of people dying, or at least peolpe she loves...

You know, I'm never gonna catch up with Pete. Even when it's thrown right in my face.

I'm right there with you. It's hard to put the pieces together when there are just so many of them.

Seriously though...it went to a mystery to a hidden premonition of the rage husks (Oooooh, "Eight, eight, eight..." meant "Hate, hate, hate...") and back again to hearing the dream correctly in the first place. Well played!

So I can understand the reference to find the magical resistance quote, but why did Pete fail to include the eight reference?

Yep, big facepalm. What else would it be but (8)888888?

Also, I really like the artwork on Gwynn in panel three. Not only is it a terrific execution of her features, but her smouldering anger and determination are depicted so very clearly, and the shading from the low light source is very precise. Just a small gem there, Pete.

That is because the reference was in the actual comic, when he was remembering it.

Hey, archive experts: what's the most-used panel in Sluggy flashback history?

This "eight-eight-eight" panel has me wondering.

Yeah yeah, sure sure -- I should have said we want to see the artifact... and whatever other mysterious sights that "CRRREEEAK" portends.

Is it possible that NOBODY ELSE played at least the demo of the Stanley Parable?

...I'm ashamed of you all.
