But when you prune back the flowers of a plant, it just makes the rest of the plant grow more.

So did she use the fallen tree to launch herself, or did she just jump? It's not too clear, but it would make sense why she wanted to get back to that location.
I'm also with Durandal. It may be its head, but plants don't usually die when you cut off the flowers.

Interesting that this was Marco's fate prediction, like his end is tied to them beating the Cap'. I mean, I guess it is, as a plant zombie. Somehow the fact he's retained some sense of himself makes that so much worse for me.

Hmm. This was a bit disappointing (a rare swing and a miss). That kind of a line works better after witty banter, and being almost defeated (Torg doesn't count, apparently)....with the last minute win coming out of nowhere.
This felt a bit forced and out of the blue. I mean....it was their first attack.

Things aren't over yet. According to their plan chopping the flower head off only stuns that thing. Gwynn still needs to banish it back to wherever it came from to actually defeat it. There's still plenty of things that could go wrong.

Also, fair play to Pete for a heads-up on art burn-out... between Captain Botanical and the forest setting, there's been a lot of detail work. Enjoy the rest day on Friday, Pete!

I hate to be picky, but Gwynn's swing of the sword looks like it is going against her own momentum...or at least not taking advantage of said momentum. But on the other hand, asking Pete to redraw would slow down the comic.
ARGH! WHAT AN IMPOSSIBLE DECISION!!!

For Marco, then.
Possibly the best thing Farahn has ever done.

The foreshadowed content should be revealed at the end....not as an opening move. Possible recovery: This isn't the momentum that was referred to in the dream.
