Welcome to the Alpha's & Beta's Show of Wordiness. Today's guest-wordy is the talkative Thursday."Ah...hi. Um... The, word is, 'detained'. ... Wha? A sentence? Why are you-" 'I'm being detained against my w-' ... Sorry for the 'technical difficulties'. Those should all be sorted out by the time our next show is on. Please check back tomorrow for our next much more...puzzling guest and word.----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. [#93 +0 *654]

Ah yes, I remember that story with LeaderLeadLead. That was in 2000, two months before I started reading Sluggy. Good times! It was nice to see the gang on vacation, I don't think they have ever been on vacation since then.

It was nice to see the gang on vacation, I don't think they have ever been on vacation since then. You're joking, right? I wish this was true. The number of nonsensically forced comedy interludes when they make no damn sense is really high in this comic, and I'm pretty sure several of them started out as vacations (most recently Hamster Nom, arguably Road to Poorly-Named-Ikea-Reference.) My favorite is the vacation interlude that breaks the plot, randomly veers back onto it towards the end, then runs back out just as we're recovering from the whiplash. I know the Black Ops Elves have been pushovers most of the time, but I was pretty surprised that this anti-climaxed so fast and hard.

This fellow has some sense (and/or genre savvy). I hope he makes it.

Was the elf's name from that previous story actually established as Leaderleadlead? 'Cause that's a hilarious name, and I feel like I'd remember it.
