I guess I should welcome you to the Alpha's & Beta's Show of Wordiness. But due to an unfortunate...accident yesterday, Beta is not here right now. Also due to him doing most of the talking and arranging for the wordy-guest to show up, Tuesday is not here for today's show. So you're stuck with me, Alpha, instead.
As soon as I figure out what the word for today is supposed to be, I'll tell ya...
*rustling of paper*
Is that it? No...
*filing cabinets opening and closing* God, how does he keep track of this?
Where in the hell?
You know what? Screw it. The word for today is 'quiet'. That as a sentence is:
It is very quiet around the studio/bunker since Beta isn't here.
I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, but if Beta is back by then, he's going to be pissed.----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. [#101 -1 *283]

To quote someone or other: "Open mouth, insert foot."
And a very happy birthday Sarah! Your comic made me laugh.

I like to think at the end of the strip Gwynn was having a flashback to her own short-lived experience as Bun-bun's romantic "partner" via love potion.

Gwynn feeling sorry for something she's done - now that's an emotion we haven't met before. Maybe that's why I feel the "sorry" panel doesn't look like Gwynn.

Happy birthday, bouncing hug machine of joy! And the Junie B. Jones books are great; I enjoyed reading them to my daughter.
Speaking of whom, yesterday's "Timehop" was a flashback to four years ago when she was seven years old: she told me re something I had said "That was a funny joke, but I'm not going to laugh 'cause it came from you."
They may be bouncing hug machines of joy, but they know how to fight dirty.

Yayyyy! My own Sarah (second daughter, musical dancing artist) is ten. Between that and first names, I feel so much kinship with our lightbulb-y overlord.
Also, Gwynn. Odd to see her so awkward. Hopefully we can get past this and move toward the casino.
