Welcome to the new and improved Beta Show of Wordiness. I see my sister did some "improvements" while I was gone. And you can see I removed those "improvements" as well. It looks even more sterile now than it did before. It's glorious.

Now while Alpha is tied up and won't interfere with the program at this time, I should introduce our guest-wordy, Monday to show. Take it away Monday.

Thank you, thank you, Beta. I am very glad to be here. Also don't worry I'm not like my clone from last week. That one was never quite right.

So...is everyone ready for today's word? Of course you all are! The word is... 'usurp'. Now for the sentence!

Alpha was trying to usurp Beta's position on this show by corrupting my gene-sib.

Very good Monday. Exactly as I wanted. And don't worry, I'll make the call right now. But first, everyone please check in tomorrow for another show that I will not let be left to chance or outside manipulation.

Thread called on account of Naked Chick.

But seriously, just the art in those last three panels is priceless.

If Zoe were to pull a giant mallet out of no where to conk Torg on the head with, I doubt anyone would question it.

Torg has no sense of self preservation. Otherwise he wouldn't keep staring at Slaw swimming while Zoe talks...

So glad this isn't a cliffhanger.

I do love those last three panels. The decision to spread out Zoe's little speech across three pictures, showing her direction-of-attention slowly changing -- that's a nice bit of artwork, Pete.

I feel bad for immediately wondering how Slaw could have that much side-boob showing when she's so petite..

Are we really breaking them apart now with yet more drama? Seems that's what everything is alluding to and prepping for. I'm hoping for more of a twist then the expected generic tropes.

I didn't even notice that. Good eye -- and subtly executed, Master P.

This seems to be going exactly as Teresa planned it.

She was wrong on one point though. That's not a watering hole, it's a brine lake. How else could so much of her be above the surface? :-þ

At that distance the angle is much too small for Torg to be able to see anything below the surface, so the comic wouldn't have worked at all if the water hadn't been so salt. I'm only wondering how those trees and shrubs can grow so close to a brine lake. ;-)

You're not alone... I was wondering exactly that.

She must be a witch! How else could she be swimming in open water (in New Jersey!) without dissolving?

I thought it was only cyborgs that could do that?
