I miss Aylee. It seems like years since we've had even a small moment like this from her. Wasn't the last one "nut burgers," maybe?

My goodness, you're right. I hadn't even thought of that (though I would have said "non-food" objects, since all of our food is inanimate by the time we scarf it down). That's just the physical part of her. I'm thinking of way back in history, in the area that is now Egypt, how some peoples used to eat the heart and the eyes of their dead relatives to make sure they stayed with them forever. Their spiritual essence would enter their descendants that way. And even though that particular practice has been rather limited in history, people have often thought along the same lines: where you spread someone's ashes is where his spirit resides, etc. Plus, Aylee would get to eat something that used to be human. It would be nice for her. One has to be attentive to people's needs.
