Friday's button-pushing-finger is feeling itchy. Like it wants to vaporize something from orbit:

[Targeting]

[40.9° north latitude] ... [acquired]

[74.5° west longitude] ... [acquired] [locked on]

[plasma stream focused] [ready to fire]

Well, you know on second thought...it is a very tempting target, but a few people might become upset. Should probably find something that nobody will ever notice is missing...

[disengage targeting] [re-targeting]

[29.5° north latitude] ... [acquired]

[98.4° west longitude] ... [acquired] [locked on]

[plasma stream refocused] [ready to fire]

Eh, that'll work. Doubt anybody will even notice the scorching of the air. Time to scratch that itch...

[3] ... [2] ... [1] ...

I miss Aylee. It seems like years since we've had even a small moment like this from her. Wasn't the last one "nut burgers," maybe?

They could just let Aylee eat the head. She'd kind of be with them always. It's beautiful in a way.

Amen, man, amen.

But then she'd mutate into some kind of monster that only ate zombies and (possibly) other undead, and keeping her fed would be a problem.

Eh, not to worry. I bet we'll be seeing more of Aylee since Bun Bun probably has plans for Aylee (and the others) at his sinful casino resort.

Or at least be with them until Aylee's next bathroom run.

Although I do have to love how someone with a history of eating both people and inanimate objects is "suspicious" of the McRib.

Yay, Aylee! The best thing about this strip by far.

My goodness, you're right. I hadn't even thought of that (though I would have said "non-food" objects, since all of our food is inanimate by the time we scarf it down).

Maybe ZHOAS will die over the weekend and we'll just get a one-panel recap.

That's just the physical part of her. I'm thinking of way back in history, in the area that is now Egypt, how some peoples used to eat the heart and the eyes of their dead relatives to make sure they stayed with them forever. Their spiritual essence would enter their descendants that way. And even though that particular practice has been rather limited in history, people have often thought along the same lines: where you spread someone's ashes is where his spirit resides, etc.

Plus, Aylee would get to eat something that used to be human. It would be nice for her. One has to be attentive to people's needs.

Wouldn't work anyway, Aylee says she's a vegetarian now.

It's true, she attracted the most exotic flies. Incidentally, this is why everyone had to get shots for dysentery.

Don't worry, Zill switched to San Antonio at the last second! I think the plasma beam actually made the place cooler.

Why do I get the feeling that "something else" is going to happen? End her suffering, and killing her is not necessarily the same thing...
