OMG, you can see the tip of Squishy's "do it now" flags in the original page! I love it!

I'd have to review the whole series (pretty sure my employer and wife would not be happy with that use of my time,) but I think this is the first time Pete has spent so much time on a flashback from a different perspective than the original. Pretty well done, in my mind, too.

Was this sequence of events REALLY so important that it's necessary to suffer through them twice?

Look, I enjoy Sluggy. And I've been faithfully logging in every day since 2001. But I'm gonna take the summer off. Pete is. Re-using the same art and on a MWF schedule to boot? Yeah..... Nope. See you guys in August.

Aaand we're all caught up.
He's so cute with his little ears flying in the blast-breeze.

Pretty well done, in my mind, too. Maybe not quite flashback as multiple perspectives, and in much shorter/immediate payoff bursts, but I'd argue this is kind of lightweight compared to what Pete did in Ten Minutes at a Party

Yeah..... Nope. See you guys in August. Don't think that we'll miss you. And BTW, Pete is not simply re-using the same art. Compare the last frame in http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/150507 and the last frame in http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/150626. In the first one Pete correctly spells "doesn't"; in the most recent one he 'doesn't' spell it correctly, putting "dosen't" instead. So, Pete, with friends like me, who needs enemies?? ;-)

Yeah..... Nope. See you guys in August. "Reusing". It seems you completely missed the point, OneRing/Zylon. Pete is showing how what the characters said in the past actually had a completely different meaning, now that we get the whole picture. That is actually very obvious, and it is quite clever - everyone else sees that, which makes me wonder.
