Interesting. One wonders what his motives are of course. The way he's smiling doesn't bode well for Sylvia, but then, Sam may throw a monkey wrench in HIS plans too.

Sylvia is certainly going to be disappointed. But on the other hand, Lysinda is totally destroyed so there is no bringing her back even if the 'last vial' is used on Sam. So it's not going to waste.
Maybe Sylvia can look at the positives better than we imagine she will. She was extremely lucky to have survived at all, herself.
