I think there might be more going on with this chapter than we realize at the moment. And it might explain the big seeming inconsistency, too.

Why is she narrating this? Shouldn't he already know this stuff?

That vampire themed super logoized following car is just SO cheesy. . . Couldn't it at least be antique? At least that would fit with the vampire immortality.

I'm really confused right now. In panel 1 they're adults driving into Italy and heading for an uncle, and then in the next panel they're young kids seeing that uncle. By panel 3, Izzy (?) is wearing a braid that looks distinctly Indian (she's also identified by a Sanskrit name/word, which could imply it's someone else entirely -- or not). Then by panel 4 (still in the same location), time has passed, Uncle Subi/Gennaro is back, while their aunt (?) prepares Dunuloa's* eggs for breakfast, and we get further emphasis on the fact that Anthony/Minion Master was dropped on his head as a baby.
All I can figure is that this is going to turn out like Roken, where Pete pulls the pin out Keyser-Soze-style and the backdrop explodes along with your perceptions and preconceptions.
Or maybe Urja's just mining for data right now, and this is the interface.
* yeah, probably not, but my brain takes me to weird places.

* yeah, probably not, but my brain takes me to weird places. My read is that the first and last panels in each strip are not literal events - but to say more would be spec. Izzy and Ant's mom appears to be Indian, which would explain the braid and style of dress regardless of what country they happen to be in at any given moment.

She was just knocked out, so if anything this is probably making more sense than it should.

Those vampires are going to be sorry when Riff lands four months from now.
