This story has really put the Minion Master in a whole new light. Who would have thought? Very good connection. I definitely like the tragedy, them being hunted, and that being the reason for his disappearing skills. And now, even the reason for the name Minion Master.
I'd love to see more of One-Piece, Two-Two and Triple Threat. Maybe in a parallel dimension! I wonder if Two-Two means something like the other two names do, or if the "two-ish" thing with that name is simply that Two is said twice.

Pete, I like the heavy half-tone. Gave it a nice retro look and those old comics did use a pretty course halftone

Agreed. They aren't called "Four Color Comics" for nothing!

Two-Two is wearing a TuTu (look closely). Triple-Threat has 3 arms, all with swords.

Had everything already gone horribly wrong by the time Riff and Torg showed up?

I think the tech armed minions ARE Torg and his crew. Remember they went for some tech stuff with Nofun and Shankraft. When we first met Minion Master, he lamented that he had no minions. Maybe he lost them or maybe Torg was just his first hope of actually realizing that dream.

At first I misread that, and because I had just been looking at pictures of robots in Google I thought of it as the Minion Master replacing Torg and the others with robots to send out to steal tech, while the real Torg & co have been sleeping this whole time. Now that would be something.

Torg asked him where his minions were, and MM answered "None yet. They'll come." And he practically squee'd when Torg & Co formally joined up.
