Well, Kusari is very confident. Perhaps overconfident....or then again maybe she's not so much expecting to beat all those Vrykos on her own.

Methinks hC has a second wave of silver-bullet-wielding agents... or a few "eyes in the sky" out of vampire reach. Too bad for Urja. I guess she's failed Lord Vader for the last time.

Maybe they'll just flux them all. That'll be funny. Though Schlock might be wiser to just kill them now if he has the chance now that they're his enemies, rather than risk them coming back later.

Kusari, darn it. You're the bad gal, but when you say stuff like that it makes me want to root for you! Curses, I'm rooting for the empire now. Get 'em Kusari!

"I'm still liking my odds."
Damn. She may present as a female, but that girl has brass balls.

On another board I frequent, we used to have a thread called Quotes That Define Badassitude. It's long since been buried as people ran out of things to post in it. I'm going to need to do some thread necromancy, just for that line.

Oh damn, I forgot Schlock's near-obsessive paranoia. Knowing he's pissed off an entire clan of vampires... *reads some back issues* and they want dead someone he wants alive. ..unalive? ...able to talk, is the point. For his sake, Kusari better be able to back up her boast.

@Pete: Don't worry about only posting half of the intended strip. It works very well this way - doesn't look broken up, just ending on a cliffhanger - is it friday already?
Use the extra time to get ahead on scripting or some other thing maybe?

For his sake, Kusari better be able to back up her boast. Who can tell me where HC/Schlock wants Sam alive? If they both want him dead, they may be able to call a temp truce. ...if Urja wasn't so pissed off, haha. Urja is relatively new to the sluggyverse. And presented to be some sort of ultimate badass. I wonder if Pete would kill her off, just to reiterate how badass Kusari really is? We know Kusari gets the jobs done, but I haven't thought of her as a badass walking army. Rather, the silent ninja who never really had much of a challenge for most things. Pete's gonna have one heck of a time trying to make Oasis look badass again by comparison. It's been a long time since Fire and Rain, and Oasis hasn't had a good challenge since what, bunbun? Yoohooo! Calling all badasses! Sluggy Melee, Smash attack!

Love the Kusari character. How fitting to give her a Japanese name, as she is like the perfect ninja or samurai, fighting without fear and out of complete loyalty. As noted when she would kill on Chen's orders when he was the CEO, and then go back to obeying Schlock again without hesitation.
