KUSARI!!! NOOOO! Oh no! That looks possibly fatal! well, fatal-ish. She lost her head and came back so I'm not too worried. Than again, he missed the heart right? hearts on the left? Crap! I really don't want this Lord Menelaus getting near Sam! OH GOD NO ITS FRIDAY! I just realized that-but don't stress Pete! I mean I don't think any sluggites will complain about a 3 row monday :) but 1-2 rows is fine if it gives you breathing room!

I've always assumed that Kusari is the result of the same process that made Oasis, but more stable and controllable. And we know that Oasis always comes back.

So THAT'S what happened to Menelaus! Though I'm surprised to see him using a longer, more modern sword. Change with the times, I suppose.
And yeah, how quickly does Kusari return? We're probably going to need Izzy's incendiaries pretty soon.
Pete -- dude. Your "partial" strips are more rich than the "full" layouts that most other cartoonists provide (not that there's anything wrong with that). Seriously, relax. This is awesome (if cliffhangery).

Sorry, not buying it. I don't care how much Urja softened her up, Kusari does not go down that easily for nobody.
CW, have we seen Menelaus before? NiftySearch doesn't know him.

This is awesome (if cliffhangery). Wait, he's been in the strip before? I thought he looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place him. In response to your question: Kusari was capable of regenerating a broken leg (compound fracture) in a matter of hours (bROKEN). Whether this was due to healing tech, some innate ability, or dying and returning is unknown. And also after dying in Fire and Rain she does return (possibly twice, it's not shown if she dies after being staked to the wall by Oasis, and she mentions having someone come to pry her down, implying she'll survive or they need to recover her body), but it's uncertain just how long it takes. However, given that in the intervening time after her decapitation Oasis was captured by the police, given a mental evaluation, and placed in an asylum (and they said that they were still waiting for a replacement after this had all happened) it can be assumed it took at least a couple of days to resurrect after her confirmed death. Note: None of this is spec, just a presentation of facts and simple logic. Anyways, Kusari NO!
