The timing in terms of right before Riff would have given up Zoe's name was certainly intentional at least on Pete's part if not Torg's. Although, in perfect fairness, Riff probably could have honestly answered that question naming himself, because Zoe only staked Lysinda, while Riff carried her out to be destroyed by the sun. So I can't be certain that Riff wouldn't have named himself under compulsion, but I do feel certain that the scene was meant to carry some implication of Torg protecting Zoe.

I know this will sound horrible... but are we finally [finally!] getting rid of Sam? I'm on #teamRiff on this one I guess.  And I suspect Torg will be as well now.
