I figured it was the passage of time and a split up thing, but another part of me thought maybe one was the Torg robot/suit. Wow when is the last time those showed up? With Pasquirrelio? Poor Torg :( :( But he looks awfully determined in that last panel. I've been re-reading Sluggy, and I gotta say its amazing watching the characters grow. They still retain themselves (Torg and his silliness) but they have matured so much as well. Also I hope Sam's okay! Edit: FIRST!!!!

I came here to ask for the missing ref to the introduction of the chess pieces (white king in particular), but looks like I'm already provided.
As for the clarity of the comics: I liked them, and i think i understood them even without the explanation, only thing i couldn't place was the white king in the last comic.

For clarity: Maybe ret-con someone dropping a line about "needing to split up and change vehicles" - I think that would be enough.

Humorous and yet dark two days. The casino-base doesn't look like what I'd expect (especially the bright window in an underground location).

That's not a window, that the bank of video screens in the underground base. Panel 3 is in Torg & Zoe's quarters, which apparently are above-ground since we can see stars, and panel 4 looks to be back down in the base with the screens off. Add me to the list of those who got the general flow of events from 4/6 and 4/7. I do hope we get a more in-depth look at what happened, though.

That's a long standing archive glitch. Just refresh and the proper comic should load.

By the way, has anyone commented on the meaning of Torg's t-shirt?
How about the identity of Toady and why he gets his own comic?

Hey Pete,
For what it's worth, yesterday's comic makes a LOT more sense when paired with today's strip. The panels flow into each other and taken together there's nothing to cause confusion.

Pete, if you still wish to add a distinst clarifier to this sequence, then possibly something as simple as a little narration insert to panel 2 on the 6th: "Five hours and one split-up later..." LB
