Sotanaht wrote: On the other hand, it all pretty much works out for Torg in the end every time. He lost alternate-dimension Zoe and took it pretty hard, but ultimately everyone he cares about in the real dimension has managed to survive everything anybody but Torg himself threw at them. I'm just saying his perception of "monsters" might be a little lopsided compared to Izzy, who has literally lost everyone so far to them. Quite so, backwards-Thanatos. Torg hasn't lost anyone, but Izzy has. Also, Torg has seen that Sam stays nice even after having become a vampire. But on the other hand, there's always a risk that a vampire will start killing in the end. Who knows what he will be like when all his friends have died from old age, and he starts seeing humans as short-lived creatures? And who knows how the Embrace affects the mind in the long run - does it change a person no matter what, or can he find it? We don't know. Izzy and Riff are right to want to be on the safe side, but Torg is also right in saying Sam remains Sam. And on the third hand, they need Sam against Hereti-Corp right now.

He's already lost Zoe once.

He's already lost Zoe once. That doesn't count. She came back. So he never truly lost her.

Preeeeeeeetty sure I remember him being heart broken and avoided sluggy-prime zoe for AGES because it hurt too much.

A consistent theme in the strip has been Torg's willingness to look the other way when "people" like Sam, Aylee and Bun-Bun leave a trail of death and destruction in their wake. Riff has always been more uncomfortable with all of it, although there have also been hints that Riff is just as destructive as any of Torg's other friends.
