Wednesday is sure this new evil overlord of ours will be benevolent.

The unimaginable torture will only be during the weekends so the weekdays can be enjoyed. The new mandatory shock-collars will be at a low level during the weekdays.

Do American schools really have vending machines? With sodas and candy in them? Amazing in that case. When I went to school we ate at lunch, period.

Sometimes they do, yes. I seem to remember a vending machine in my high school. Or maybe my memory's off. Either way, I think it was in or near the cafeteria.

Dark musics. I like that.

For truly dark musics you need strings. Oboes don't have nearly the potential for depressing-ness. Writing in the key of E♭ minor works wonders as well.

Strings are good, but you need a decent horn section to build a sense of ominous dread.

The oboe: An ill woodwind that nobody blows good.

(and all i can think of is the oboe hooting in Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe")

Some do. My high school did, I'm unsure if they still do since I graduated twenty years ago.

Yup. And since its physically/financially difficult to put healthy stuff in the machines, it is almost entirely junk food. The rest is bottled water.

Now I am left wondering if the Dark Arts are evil paintings, Goth paintings, evil basic magic, or the illustrious art of manipulating the darkness (like Martial Arts, but with shadows). Or just art made with the lights off. It has got to be hard to see with those sweet robes.
Speaking of, nice shading technique. You can clearly tell the room is unlit.

Since Justine was shown to another room I think we can conclude that it's not art made with an extra soft pencil.

There were no vending machines in school when I went through <mumblemumble> years ago, but they did eventually become fairly common.

Heehee. All of that. And yes, we had vending machines in the early nineties. I'm pretty sure they're still there.

I disagree. Quiet, eerie strings work quite well to build up the dread. The deeper horns can then add impact as the tension builds.
