Wednesday wonders what Oasis is up to.

Try it...

Is this thing stuck? Did Oasis stab it at 50?

I think Kitty meant to say "repercussions" not "reproductions".

Also, I wonder where this is going. Signs pointed (kinda) in one spec-cy direction yesterday as to who Needles was involved with, but it doesn't seem like that's the case here.

Oh good, some characters that I won't mourn at all when they inevitably die horribly by the end of this arc.

Kesandru: Thanks for the typo-spot! Fixed! That was a bad one on my part!

I also want to chime in here. I have not read all the reactions for yesterday's comic, since I'm playing catch up (and feeling better) but I skimmed it and noticed the question whether 6 months was passing for every section in this chapter. I actually considered that when I named the chapter "Six Months Later..." and thought to mitigate that by having the exact same breaking news story show up in every section, about Hereti-Corp taking over Nasa. Showing that it's the exact same time in each section. There are other incidentals like Kitty and Needles talking about Mook and Smokey being at the Equinox that very moment.

But there's still confusion so I might retroactively strip out the chapter titles after the first section. I get the feeling things get confusing enough around these parts!

Ooo, I'm gonna enjoy this. Nothing better then a morally unambigious enemy. :bunbun: :oasis:

Moral event horizon crossed: check! Proceed with extreme prejudice and no regrets.

I think this is the quickest we've gone from an introduction to me wanting the character to die horribly.

See? Everyone else is thinking of traffic problems, but Mr. Needles is thinking of traffic solutions! His customers may travel in cages but he is certainly thinking outside the box!

For what it's worth, I understood from the repetition of the NASA news announcement that all of these separate events were taking place at the same time, six months after Torg and Zoe left Riff.

Well, first the 6 month thing threw me, thinking it was now a year later.
But the news broadcast fixed that, yes.

Bit misleading and I expect a few people to miss that, yup. Not sure if it'll make a big difference anyway though, as I'm a bit hazy with the times of everything now anyway, lol.

Just do a recap later after this story arc or something when you want to bring things back together as usual.

But this can't be said enough: the ref links REALLY do help! Many webcomics don't do that and it leaves me completely lost. And I don't care about them as much to search through their forums or backlog. So yay for those! :kiki:

Is Mr. Needles supposed to make us think of Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg? Because especially in that last panel he's making me think of Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg.
