Wednesday has a candle and it's not afraid to use it! The screaming, the sizzling, and the burning flesh is so exciting!... Though, the blaze tends to get out of hand and eventually you only hear the roar... So disappointing. ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. Damn. I guess a pointy object to the eye (and maybe brain) would do it too.
I was really expecting her to strip, after pete went on about her outfit being her mistake.
....there's still time though. Right? RIGHT!?!

Look at how she lords over her kill (?) in that sweet dress.

This dude's mistake is speaking, rather than just pulling the trigger. Wouldn't actually have done more than slow Oasis down and probably cause a big firey explosion, but he has no way to know that.

Even if he has really good aim and goes for a headshot, I suppose you could still say it wouldn't do any more than "slow Oasis down."

Oasis really must take pride in her work when she is concerned about which eye she was aiming for and which eye she hit. A bit like Commander Sheperd being "an artist on the battlefield".
On second thoughts, knowing Oasis, that really was a massive blow to the head if she missed that badly.
Oh, and I have to ask, is Oasis actually grinning in that third panel there? Because that's what it looks like to me.

This dude's mistake is still being in the same room with the unstable pyrokinetic gymnastic assassin and not running, running, running like a constipated wiener dog.* *Weird Al, "Albuquerque"

Throwing the pin apparently blind, behind her, over her shoulder, fast enough so Kitty couldn't react -- yup, that's our Oasis. I'll cut her some slack on her aim being off by 3".

It shouldn't bother me, but she had two pins, one in the head of each of the guards, she grabbed one pin during a somersault, throwing it and hitting kitten's arm, then kitten threw her into a wall, and then she... threw another pin? Were there three pins all along?
Edit:no, in today's comic the pin-in-kittens-arm is missing. Did oasis grab it while being thrown across the room?

yaysalt,
Pete was pretty obvious about it, but somehow, I, too, missed what he had done until I went to transcribe the comic. Check out panel 2. It took me a second or two to figure out why Pete had done a close up of Kitty's arm. Then I realized that we were actually supposed to be looking at the wound - and the absence of the lapel pin - not the whole arm. So, yes, Oasis must have grabbed it as Kitty started to fling her around.
