Do you know what number of young people could be squeezed into a compact car and still be able to safely and legally drive the car on the city streets? Thursday knows... It's fourteen! Ha ha, get it? Get it?! Do ya!? They're all teenagers! And there's only fo- Eh, you all suck. ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. Wed=[#59 +0 *408] Thu=[#58 +1 *447]

Based on the ref link, it only took ten years for Katie to turn into a properly surly teenager!
Also, I'm with Oasis. Exactly ten things does sound a tad contrived, Katie.

Deliberately going to one specific place knowing you will probably get caught so you can swerve later.... clever girl. Or not a girl. She is now way older.
Gone are the days when Oasis was the coolest thing in her Katie's eyes.

Nice to see that Katie is still a fan of Johnny Cash.
Considering all that has happened since Oasis has entered her life, I guess I could see why Katie now hates her.
Oh, and I like Oasis's screwball cap. Although I must ask why someone would want to place a screw in a ball.

So people *do* age in the Sluggyverse! =P
I like Oasis' hat.
I had to look up what Folsom 1968 meant. I don't remember Katie mentioning that she's a Johnny Cash fan. Of course, that story was ten (Oy vey) years ago so it's not that surprising.

She is a grown woman now, so if she wants to leave, it's kinda up to her.
Of course, on the practical side, there is probably no where safe for her, other than the rather large and luxurious house she shares with her mother and Oasis. Hereti Corp are kinda everywhere these days.

I like what's UNDER the hat. With her hair down like that she looks less like a crazy cheerleader and more like an actual, sympathetic person. That's kind of the point of this "disguise" but it works brilliantly.

But for the hairclip I wouldn't have recognized this grumpy teenager as Katie. :-)

Is that not implicit in every compliment of a clothing item? You wouldn't expect a compliment starting as "your hat is really cool" to continue "and that's a shame because you ar the most uncool person ever"

That's an oddly specific implication to ascribe to all compliments on all clothing.

I believe that Katie was using a Johnny Cash reference to comment on how she feels (in prison), rather than simply being a Johnny Cash fan...
