Monday had a strange dream last week. It was like school for magic and wizards, but instead of magic and wizards, there was food, a mob boss...and zombies. What in the heck did I eat before bed? ----- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. Sat=[#60 -0 *773] Sun=[#60 -0 *802] Mon=[#60 -0 *837] NCoID™340

Lookit that Schlock. How sweet. He's a regular Santa Claus!
...somehow I don't think that exempts him from the naughty list. Oh wait! Hereticorp acquired Graball. THAT exempts him from the naughty list! By executive order!

It's so nice when you get what you want for Christmas. It's like that old Frank Sinatra song:
I'll rule the world by Christmas Come and plan with me Let us zap the mistletoe And a town or two for free
Christmas Eve will find me Where the flux light gleams If they try to run away We'll catch them in our beams
All that's missing is the eggnog. Ah, bliss.

I guess world domination would be something every villain would want for christmas.
I like the message in the last panel: "Warning: recap detected."…

So . . . what I got from today's comic is that everything is A-OK. Excellent!

I'm pretty sure that news stations don't play the same "breaking news" for four months. This is actually a literary technique: having some sort of "anchor event" (in this case the newscast) to show that a group of chapters is happening within the same time frame, just from a different character's perspective. …and now I'm thinking about Ten Minutes At A Party.

Aaand we're back to the main storyline.
One question: why are there always quotes around "take over"?

PROJECT HARBINGER! I wonder what relations it has to the schlock triangle.
Frog looks very excited for his christmas present!

Not back in May, six months from May (which will be November). Y'know...like the title of the chapter says? :P But yes I agree, it's a cool literary technique.

No. Six months from the end of The Circle, which lasted (about) 6 months and ran parallel to the previous chapter (okay, except the last part—but that lasted, like, less than 24 hours. Ish). Admittedly Zoë's reference to Pokémon Go (released in July) here would suggest that it probably isn't in May, Pete has changed some details regarding the game, e.g. a Grab-All account being required to play, likely because Grab-All still controls Niantic or something. I give this argument 3 more posts from me. After that, if it's still going, I move we stop and wait for Pete to come in and clear it up.
