Pete had already established Sluggy's position on the grandfather paradox, though this was maybe more explicit of an example. I feel like the groundwork is "oppaz" and all it implies about escalation... and maybe the fate of the world.
Yay Tyler! Might have planned something better than a gun with 12 years of work, but it's great to see them get a happy ending out of this.

Love it. 19 years of build up for 1 panel's worth of resolution. That might be the most Sluggy thing ever.

Now that it's over, I submit that The Old Guy be quietly shifted out of the chapter titled "Six Months Later", and into its own chapter titled "Nineteen Years Later" :P

I love how Tyler doesn't even bother with a one-liner. He just shoots the Dr. dead. I respect that.

This strip made me happy. Thanks, Pete!
EDIT: Just now, I made the connection to this sub-chapter's title... "The Old Guy" for a story about Newguy. Heh.

Tyler looks like Willy Wonka in the last panel.

The time ray blasted it off his head ( panel 5) so he picked it up and rode off into the sunset. :-) But what did he mean by "I came back to let YOU save ME" ? As in, ride off into the sunset with me forever? Does "Oppaz" make anybody else hear "Gangnam Style" ? (Bet it does now!! :-) )

She's always been the brains/boss of the pair.

New Theory: It was never about Drake, it was always about getting that fly hat back.

This is great.
Solid storyline and completion for side characters (would be ok for them to join the Gang but not every single character needs to stick around forever. Sometimes a happy ending/exit is good).
Great explanation of time (interrupt the past like Schlock did and you create a paradox/alternate timeline. Go along with things like Tyler until moment of exiting the timeline and you get to stay in your original timeline).
