And that was pretty badass, I've got to say. Way to go, Tyler.

So... Pete mentioned this last part laid some groundwork for the next big chapter. And really, outside of a brief sojourn into Timeless Space, the big takeaway from this is a solidifying of the definition of time travel in the Sluggyverse. We've had our big reveal, and (trying to do this without getting too spec-y) a character that's been around for years who's only appeared wearing a mask turns out to be a character we've also known for a while without a mask.

(potentially spec-y?)I wonder if that's what Pete's trying to get us ready for...

Anyhow, good ending. It would've been nice to see Tyler and Drake join up with the crew against hC, but that seems unlikely.

Uh. I have a hard time believing that that's that.

Right?

So sweet! I choose to believe Pete will actually give them their happy ending, because it's Christmas. This was a great story.

You're saying that time travel results in a stable loop, because it did this time. That any time a character is sent back in time it will turn out they were actually there all along.

I want to say that just because it happened that way this time doesn't mean that all forms of time travel will be the same. This time Tyler was sent back by Uncle Time, who is at least partly directly in charge of maintaining the time-space continuum. If someone were to be sent back by less "time friendly" means, like Riffs modified DFA in the DoR. it MIGHT not be the same result.

Nice :) The Drake and Tyler arc is now one of my favorite Sluggy arcs.
