I don't think thats a camera, I think its the business end of the suppressed pistol Gwynn apropriated. She just ditched it in the planter because murder weapon.

All i can say about the gun is I hope they removed their figerprints and other DNA.

Hummm. Yes, I do remember something about that, inside the vault. But e.g. Arabella (Marco's friend) was fully alive when she converted.

We didn't see what happened immediately before that, but Marco and Arabella seemed to be talking normally when she started getting rage-y. And Marco talked about transformations as if they started happening right in the middle of arguments. And Marco started converting when he was (apparently??) still alive. Though later he turned out to be a rage-husk in disguise, soooo...
