Monday thought it knew what was going on, but now it's not so sure. It has not been able to get any clarification. Originally it thought the Pledge a Pledge thing was good until 11:59pm EDT on the 14th. Now it's unsure if 11:59pm EDT on the 13th was the actual deadline due to what is being said on Sluggy.com. Unfortunately some people will state an offer is good, up to and INCLUDING the day, while others say UP TO a date but not including. Pete didn't specify which one he meant... Well, any which one it is you did have over a week to sign up. Just remember that if you still want to Pledge a Pledge, that after registering you will still need to write an Intro post proving you are not a spammer then wait to be approved. That takes time, so don't take too long. It now appears that my first though was correct. Just don't wait until the last minute. But if you do, try and keep it down to no less that an hour before the deadline, please. ---- Vote for Sluggy Freelance at Top Web Comics. Remember to vote EACH day. Looks like Torg's phone has been broken. At least the tree broke his fall and so he fell without breaking his back. Problem is, Kusari is on her way to break him. Why she was making those clicking noises with her kusarigamas though? Today's strip is the 9th before Sluggy's 20th. For some reason, it made me think of Crossroads by Cream.

Well, she doesn't have to kill Torg to stop him from following them...
Wonder where Riff and Aylee are right now?

Panel 4 just won an award for "Best Progression of Sound Effects in a Comic".
They sound like alien racial epithets.

I agree, but they sound more like members of a Bluegrass band to me
"Come see Snap, Crak, Pip, Snop, Wip, Crump, n Crik at the Old Alehouse every Saturday evening! Free cider if you can guess that banjo riff! Cover at the door. Mumford and Sons requests will result in immediate ejection

Today's comic had a lot in it! "That hurt like Bun-Bun" :) Pink Freud wrote: Panel 4 just won an award for "Best Progression of Sound Effects in a Comic". They worked quite well for falling down a tree. Quite a scary last panel!

I hope this isn't considered spec... Maybe Pete showed the phone breaking just so we know that help can not be called in. However, I remain hopeful (for now) that Chaz landed somewhere even closer, since Chaz was shown falling between where the phone was falling and where Torg was going down. And, the angle was fairly vertical, despite the horizontal view.

It's harder to judge that exact angle, considering there's no motion lines there to show exactly how it got form wherever he lost contact with it to wherever it was. That said, A point was clearly made to show losing both objects yesterday, and only one was shown with purpose today, so that train of thought is certainly on the right track for *something*

Considering where Kusari is, I think Chaz's location can safely be established as "not close enough."

For reasons that we still do not understand, Chaz was wrapped up. Kusari would kill him before Torg would have a chance to unwrap him, let alone swing him... garyfritz wrote: +1 on the tree sound effects and "That hurt like Bun-Bun" !! LOL Ditto!
