Just a possible wrinkle in the plan and would be a Pete twist to spring. What if Gwynn looks at her paper reflection but doesn't gain back her human memories?

She was already paper when she got there and had an illusion spell on.

It looks as though Sam didn't fool the dryad the last time because he was more concerned about Olivia than the dryad's chest.

This is the largest character development in Sam that we've seen since he was human, I think.
