Are you going to tally all the points back to the last time points were totalled?

I'd like to put forth my opinion that Slaughteresa is on the good guys team and has been converted into a vampire by Sam. My reasoning? See below.

Pete made it a point to say that it's been exactly three days since Teresa left. How many nights does it take Sam to make a vampire? Three. Coincidence? Perhaps. But I digress.

Sam's last shown action was realization was that Sasha (his sort-a girlfriend) was in trouble. As shown previously he has the capacity to get really mad and attack when his loved ones are in danger, like Kiki and Beth. What I think happened, is once Torg explained what happened to Sasha and who Teresa was, Sam got extremely pissed off and took off after her faster than the others could manage. He caught up to her and in a fit of vampiric rage, began draining her of blood. The others caught up and managed to get him to stop, but Torg (or maybe Bun-Bun) got an idea. To create the perfect agent for their infiltration of Monicruel's fortress, they remind Sam of how to create new vampires for the Sam-Cirkail Mamajama. Riff wants to object, himself hating vampires and their spread, but after 4U City and the fact that his close friend/maybe girlfriend Sasha is on the line, adopts an attitude of; do what you have to to keep the world alive.

Fast-forward a few days, Teresa is now a vampire, and under Sam's control. Remember; in the Kesandru's well arc it's shown that his hypnotic thrall works on even Gwynn (who is very strong-willed) as long as he doesn't try to make them think he's attractive. (Perhaps being turned into a vampire by him makes her more susceptible to his control or something as well.) Notice: Monicruel seems surprised in today's comic that they are there. Teresa does not. She merely smirks and asks 'Wow, how?' Not, 'how did you follow me?' It's not very sturdy, but this could be seen as she was asking her team leader how he managed to get in. She then remarks about how the first thing they'll do is take down the security booth. Either she's done a lot of hostile takeovers before, or she had insider knowledge of the plan and was playfully pointing it out.

The evidence that keeps this theory alive? She's wearing a neck-hugging bit of cloth. Perhaps to conceal recent vampire neck-bites?

It would be nifty if Torg suddenly pulled out a gun in the next strip and shot Monicruel dead, giving the ironic lie to 'Teresa's statement about Torg not hurting them and illustrating the continuing changes to Torg's personality.

WILD Spec - Sasha gets shot but the "thing" that keeps Kurasi and Oasis alive is revealed to also affect Sasha or Torg.

Anyway a) Sasah is shot, b) Sasha survives. Torg and Sasha have both shown the ability to take huge damage and recover far, far too quick

I actually spec that Sasha dies now. We didn't see her in 4U City. What if Riff was with Izzy because Sasha was gone? And he married Izzy because he finally realized that when he fell in love again, he needed to do everything he could to hold onto it.

I kind of figure Sasha is the only "semi-main" cast member that Pete could get away with permanently killing, though after That Which Redeems and 4U the whole "someone important is going to die" suspense is wearing a bit thin...

There was a previous incident where Sasha was shot, lost a large amount of blood, and Sam, who should know about such things, said that she was dead. Then, one strip later Sasha is suddenly alive again (after Sam who thinks she is dead sinks his teeth into her neck and drinks her, no less) and the profusely bleeding wound has completely stopped bleeding and turned into a "just a graze". At the time I speced that she died there and came back to life right under our noses, and that Pete was using Sam's exaggerated stupidity to keep it under wraps. In fact, that this was the reason for Sam's stupidity ramping up significantly prior to the event:

...She was shot. Shot in such a way that she lost consciousness, that Sam thought her dead when he drank from her. Shot in such a way that she had no pulse, to be precise.
Then she wakes back up, perfectly healthy, none the worse for taking a bullet (she claims it was a scratch, but if that's so then why did she pass out?), nor weak from losing blood to Sam. Why would Sam have left any blood in her if he thought her dead? Simple answer: he didn't.

This is the reason Pete has been having Sam act so stupid during this story. So no one would notice what really happened when he said she was dead, so no one would notice when he slipped this crucial plot point past us.

My prediction is that there is going to be some breakage.

Sasha is going to get shot and hurt, but not killed. Torg on the other hand will go into hero mode at this point and do something heroic to save both Sasha and the hard drives and be hurt in the process. Badly. Badly enough to be put out of circulation for weeks to months. The gang will get out of there and to their base, where Zoe, having been called ahead and prepared, will end up caring for the wounded while Riff and later Sasha starts to work on the data in the drives.

This will give time for strips where Zoe reflects on her feeling for Torg and how he was always there for her, and insistently is a good breaking point to see what Dr. Schlock and Hereti-Corp are up to while they deal with the after effects of the raid and the damage the other corps are going to do to them, or to see what Gwynn and Aylee have been up to.

Calling it now: Monicruel is going to shoot Sam, not realizing he is a vampire, to show that she is serious. Then she'll attempt to take Sasha hostage again and use her as leverage, which will fail in some way once it becomes obvious that the guy she shot isn't in the least bit dead (or, at least, no more dead than he was before).

Torg and Riff are saying "No" and "Don't" not because they fear for Sasha, but because they know what Sam will do in response to the threat to her.

Ugh. I don't even know where to go with this one. I'm actually not liking the idea that Sasha is anything more than a weird girl. Have we thoroughly invalidated the idea that Sasha could be Kusari? Otherwise the other likely option is she's another "Monica", planted almost a decade earlier. Pete could just be psyching us out on this one though. Monicruel did mention they'd been pumping her with drugs. Maybe brainwashing drugs too.
