Two good friends of mine back East named their Rabbit Bun Bun... no connection to the comic in their minds, but it still scares the heck out of me every time I visit them. :)
She's adorable, but a bit of a terror lately.

That's not so bad. I've already decided that if god forbid I ever end up having kids, the first two girls will be named Zoe and Sasha. Not 100% based on their characters mind you. I also just really like the names. Unfortunately, I highly doubt my imaginary wife would allow me to name a child Torg.

It's probably not close enough to be a "real" reference. But there is a dark-haired girl called Zoe who needs to be rescued from the zombies by Dirge in the Xombie animated series (formerly on Newgrounds).
Thinking her hair-style is Zoë-ish, she could be Zoë as a child. Ending up in trouble (starting the series by waking up with memory loss on a beach in a zombie-infested area) is very Zoë-like as well.
I think I watched Xombie before I went Sluggy, so it was only when I deceded to re-watch the series (and the new episodes) that I realised the parallel.

Not really a Sluggy reference but the parallel to the recent story is uncanny Sunday Drive

That was a TV Tropes link. I clicked it close to two hours ago.
