The rules are essentially going to be just like the other Tournament threads, for now at least, and just like in Book Tourney we'll probably be experimenting with the rules every now and then.

For now, I'll start off each strip with 7 points and take away one point each day. Any strip that reaches 0 gets eliminated. Each of you get 5 points to allocate each day, but unlike Book Tourney, you're allowed (for now at least) to put all your points into one strip for your vote.

The voting for each day officially cuts off at midnight (whatever time Pete updates, I believe that's Central Time)... but if I'm late with my update I'll still accept votes passed the deadline as long as they're before my posting of the official updated list.

Since I didn't get the update in until practically noon today I'm not going to take away any more points tonight at midnight, but I do plan to repost a new updated list at that point, and voting will reset then as well.

The strips are all listed in chronological order. I came up with titles based on what would be the most defining and recognizable quality of each strip. If anyone has a suggestion for a better title for a particular strip, I'll be open to it.

LOL, that was my first reaction as well. I think it will become more manageable in a week when the greater mass of them drops off and only the ones people took the time to vote for even once are left.

I think I'm starting to second guess myself a bit about not subtracting any at all today. That was mostly because I didn't think that many people would vote and I wanted to give them all a chance to notice the thread.

But who knows... if it's the sheer number that's keeping people from voting then maybe I will start subtracting tonight.

Because this is such a 'big' job -- you might want to try something LIKE having people vote for their favorite (just one vote) out of the first twenty; then the next twenty; then the next twenty... Each time eliminate half that get the fewest votes (or all that get none). So that when you finish the original list, you'll have a list of around 60, three more rounds and you've paired it down to 30; then vote for the top ten... Or something like that...

But if not, then I use my five, thusly:

Focus on the votes rather than on the list (sort of like looking straight ahead across the rope and not down into the abyss) and it won't seem that big.

I don't think you should do a -2 day, I think people still need a little time to catch it, and a week goes by quick anyway! But its up to you. Good job, anyhow
